Starting your own Company

Starting your own company takes considerable effort. BUSIOP’s franchise formula takes care of many of the decisions that must be made for any new business allowing you more time to concentrate on the actual day-to-day implementation of the plan.

Can you do it?

It is important to ask yourself whether you can handle a company of your own. For a BUSIOP franchise you not only need commercial, financial and organisational skills, you will also need to recruit and coach Independent Specialists for your office. Do you have the time, energy and finances to handle this load?

Business Plan

A business plan is a must! The business plan should contain: the objectives of your company, sales and revenue forecasts, a budget and a plan of how to overcome the possible difficulties. Describe how you see marketing and promotion. BUSIOP will assist you with preparation of your business plan.

Office

Your new company needs an office. An easily accessible location is desirable for your BUSIOP Office. A starting BUSIOP Office needs about 12 work places (150 to 200 square metres) for Independent Specialists, a small conference room and, of course, a shared reception area.

Funding

To finance your franchise you can use your own money but you might also want to consider using a bank or other financial institution who will definitely want to review your business plan.

Registration of Your Company

In the Netherlands it is mandatory to register your company in the Register of Companies of the Kamer van Koophandel in your region. Do this when you start your company.

Tax Authorities

You will also have to register your company with the tax authorities who will determine what taxes you will have to pay based on the information you provide on the registration form.

Administration

It is mandatory to keep accurate financial records using either a computerised or paper format which you will need in order to file your taxes. You must keep these records for at least 7 years. You may decide to use the services of an accountant or bookkeeper for some of this work. However, having complete understanding of your financial situation at all times is important in order to have clear insight into the profitability of your company.
